It is not an apple. It's a cherry. It's supposed to be a black cherry but i couldn't find a black crayon to put in there, so i used a plain red crayon and pressed it hard where it was darker, and used lighter pressure where it was lighter. Isn't it awesome though? All I used was a pencil and a red color crayon. My object to look at was a picture of a cherry on a tea box. =]

The Child and the Toy
This is one I wrote based off an experience with a recent boy. He's actually been the inspiration for a lot of poems this summer. Thanks for breaking my heart! It was a big help!
Used, cheated,
And lied to.
I was nothing,
Nothing but...
A toy.
Like a child,
You played with me,
And you played with me,
Until you got bored.
Then you found
Someone totally new.
A shinier, prettier,
And fancier toy.
I was buried
In your far off,
Distant memories.
Forgotten, broken,
And still being lied to.
Grow up.
You're not a child,
anymore, at all.
Come on, darling,
Be a man.
